Mo Bros Come to Premier – Our Movember Support

Posted by Ian Mellett on Friday November 25th, 2011

Members of the Premier Software team are risking ridicule in support of the Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research.

Since its humble beginnings in Australia, Movember has become a worldwide event, with over 1.1 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas (as participants and supporters are called) getting involved, including such diverse people as Alice Cooper, Stephen Fry and Jamie Theakston.

On November the 1st, Mo Bros removed all facial hair, creating a blank canvas for the month.  From this point, the Premier Software team, under the name “The Unspecified Number of Amigos, began to grow various styles of facial hair, including trucker style handlebars and what can only be described as a rather spiffy 1940s number.

Premier’s Louise Parr Reaches New Heights for Charity!

Posted by Premier Web Team on Wednesday August 17th, 2011

Premier Software’s Sales Co-ordinator, Louise Parr recently reached new heights after bravely jumping out of an aeroplane at 12,000 feet to raise funds for the international charity, Vision Aid Overseas.

“Don’t look down!”

Louise travelled to Langar Airfield in the scenic Vale of Belvoir near Nottigham to perform the tandem jump. After being hooked up with an instructor and given ‘a silly hat’ Louise bravely freefell for 42 seconds at 123mph from 12,000 feet, before her parachute opened at 5,000 feet giving her 15 minutes to enjoy the amazing views as they glided down to safety.  Louise commented, ‘‘the scariest part was probably sitting in the plane door, they don’t tell you when you are going to jump so it could be at any moment; it really was an exhilarating experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Vision Aid Overseas is such a very worthy charity, something as simple as a pair of glasses with the correct prescription can change a person’s life drastically. ’’
